Just finished building our newest Demo trike, a 2019 Terra Trike Rambler x16! We spec’d it with a 24” rear wheel with a 24×2.10 BiG Ben tire for the occasional gravel grind and a bit better speed. Later we will add a 11-40 rear cassette for improved climbing ability. A versatile ride for all your adventures this season.
Lots of options and configurations based on this model. More gears, 20” or 24” wheels all round… we can also add on e-assist new or later.
Well some people have contacted me about some weekday rides for 2018. So we are going to have an intro ride Tuesday May 22 for about 20-25 km. We’ll meet at Renu Cycle at 6:45 pm. 4906 – 47 Street, Leduc , 1 block south of the BMO downtown. We will ride and discuss what days and how often we want to ride this summer. These will be a good start on getting ready for Rosies Memorial Ride in June.
Godspoke Rosies Ride
Remember to set aside June 8-10 for A ride around Pigeon Lake in memorial of Rosie. Stay tuned for more info as I hear back from the Eileen & Barry Dahlseide. (Sorry for the blurry photo)

I have heard though the grape Vine that the Dalsides are planning a Ride around Pigeon Lake (Rosies Ride) around the first weekend in June. Stay tuned for more details. I am going to set up a poll to see if any one is interested in some rides this year (2018) both weekly and monthly. So give us an opinion. If we do plan rides they will be posted here; on our Godspoke facebook page and on the Renu Cycle facebook page also.

So where do we go from here? This summer is turning out to be one where my riding during the week is flat lining. Depending on my work load, family commitments or weather. it seems like an organized ride during the week is NOT happening. So Lets ask the question:
For those wanting a great ride on Monday I am heading out to the West of Calmar to do a ride a did a couple of years ago.
I will start at my place around 9 am and return sometime before 4pm. I am going for a nice long scenic ride. I invite you to join me . Steady pacing somewhere around 19 km avg with stops to admire the scenery. If you want to go fast this is not your kinda ride. We will lunch on the way Maybe at Warburg or Sunnybrook. If enough show up Alice may provide some sort of sag along the way. Please try out our new polling feature to let me know if you are coming. If you need directions to my place, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for directions
Over the past 6-8 weeks our lives have been fairly mixed up with a move of the shop, downsizing of Crackmasters , Managing Renu Cycle, A holiday to Idaho and so on. If you visit our site you may have noticed a lack of posts during that time. Well We are back and starting to push onward. You will notice a few new posts this week and I hope to be a lot more regular from this point on. That includes weekly rides and a few specials rides yet this season.
Here is a tentative ride schedule for the rest of the season:
August 3 – Warburg/Calmar loop 100 km Sag supported and a lunch for $5
August 15 – Red Deer Bike paths ride. Hopefully we can get riders from across the province out for this one. Spread the Word!
Sept 6 Long Weekend – Pigeon Lake ride 65 km . Some of us may be Camping at the Provincial Campground, Join us!
Sept 19 – River valley West ride. Start at Back side of the Bonniedoon Mall near Sears
Oct 3 – Thanksgiving Weekend- Fall Colors/Chilli Willy Ride, We ride and then sit down for a Chilly Dinner at Emily Murphy Park in Edmonton!
The end of June and the beginning of July a gathering of recumbent trike riders and other like minded cyclists meet in Kellogg Idaho for 5-7 days of riding along the Trail of the Cour d’Alene. 72 miles of paved pathways along the Silver Valley. This year was our 7th visit and we look forward to seeing about 150 other enthusiasts and taking over the Hospitality Inn. The most memorable experience was the heat. I cannot remember the last time I subjected myself to days of +42c dry temps. It just sucks the energy right out of a person. We had to start riding early and finish our rides before 1 pm when the temps got to high. Then we sat in air conditioned comfort until after 8pm where we congregated under the front portico. it was so hot I think I5 lbs of water just evaporated from me! whew!
To say we had a great time is an understatement. Riding with other trikers, seeing all the different brands and taking the newest model out for test rides; seeing how different folks have made modifications to their trikes; and riding in some fantastic scenery on wonderfully smooth path for miles …. AWSOME!
We stopped in to see Garry at Northwest Recumbents in Post Falls – Garry Has been around for several years and has even been profiled on TV in the Spokane area. We hope, as interest builds here in Canada, I can have a Trike “candy” store like he does. Everything in his shop relates to Recumbents (drool). Garry has been a great role model for me!
We also had a chance to go underground over 600 feet down into an old Gold mine and experience cool temps on a hot day! Plus see how they did mining back at the beginning of the last century. I even got to try my hand at panning fer GOLD!
With our move and other assorted disruptions, getting a ride in during the week is getting really hard. I was hoping to ride tonight but can’t ARRRGGGG!!
I am trying to catch up on several posts and new products but I only have so much time these days. Stay tuned for a TOT review, some new accessories and a post about our NEw Adventure HD RS 26 demo. Plus some definite dates for some weekend rides
If you would be interested in a ride this weekend email me at Larry@renucycle.net and we’ll see!
