There is interest in an adventure trip to Africa in the next year or so. This trip could include a cycling component, hiking (Mt. Kilimanjaro), Safari, Volunteering (Various christian charities we could support with our labour), Kayaking, or other activities depending what the participants want to do. We are thinking it will be a 3 or 4 week trip, again the group will decide.
The immediate need is to hear back from anyone who is possibly interested in participating. Once we have that list of people we will call a meeting for everyone to get together and discuss the options and details.
SO!!! Anyone who is at all interested in learning more about the potential trip please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your names and contact information. I will send out a group email once the meeting date is set.
I can also be reached by phone at 780-986-7966

The Service for Rose will be held at 1pm on Thursday December 12th at Peace Lutheran Church in Leduc. It will be a full house so if you are planning on attending it would be best to be a few minutes early.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or to Peace Ev. Lutheran Church
As some of you were aware “Godspoker” Rose Good has been battling Cancer for the past few months. Sadly this morning she lost her Battle. Below I have attached the message I just received from Pastor Matt. I will post Funeral information as I receive it.
Rest in peace with our Lord Rose!
Today, at 7:40am, Rose passed away.
Her family was with her when she died and a group of us gathered around her bedside to say goodbye. And although her suffering has ended and she rests now in the Lord, we who knew her and loved her will continue to mourn and grieve her loss.
So I encourage you to pray for one another and to pray for her family. They especially need our prayers. The memory of Rose will live forever in our hearts and we know that our God is a God of life and death’s power over us has been broken. May that comfort in the days and weeks ahead.
“But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. “O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?”
Pastor Matt Lyseng
Sorry to hear about Larry’s Eye, however we are riding tonite. Meet at the Church at 6:30 as we are leaving 6:45 sharp because it is getting dark earlier and it is safer if we are finished while it is still light.
See you in an Hour!

Below is an email we received. If anyone is interested in participating I encourage you to go on out for the ride. Have a great Long Weekend.
I was given your email address from one of the Lions Club members that you talked to last year during our event. We our hosting our 9th Annual Pigeon Lake Pedal at the Pigeon Lake Provincial Park on June 29th. I was wondering if anyone in your club would like to take part in this years event. We raise money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and this year the money raised is going towards Clinical Trials at the Cross Cancer Institute. All the information is available online at www.albertacancerfoundation.ca/pigeonlakepedal2013 including registration.
I just thought I would contact you and let you know about this worthwhile event should anyone of you be interested.
